Dr. Petra Plencner - Feminine Divine
Dr. Petra's journey into hypnotherapy began with a childhood fascination for all things mythical and alternative. At the age of twelve, she discovered a book about hypnotherapy, a concept that was novel at the time. With no internet access, she relied on leaflets to order different books, which her mother would pay for. One of these books was a hefty textbook on hypnotherapy, whose author she can no longer recall.
After school, Petra would gather her friends and practice hypnotherapy techniques on them, turning it into a teenage hobby.
As she grew older, Petra's interest in hypnotherapy waned. She went through high school and pursued a degree in psychology, eventually earning her master's in the field. However, her curiosity about hypnotherapy never truly faded.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to pursue formal training in hypnotherapy, feeling a deep, soulful calling towards this path. After completing her training, she became a certified hypnotherapist and began working in the field.
Dr. Petra primarily works with women, helping them reclaim their feminine power and reconnect with their goddess selves. She offers individual therapy sessions and conducts seminars and retreats, both in Melbourne and in exotic locations like Bali. These retreats are often collaborations with a friend who owns a belly dancing company in Melbourne. The two met when Petra was a student and performed as part of the belly dancing troupe to earn extra money.
Petra's approach to feminine empowerment is unique. She believes in maintaining feminine power not by competing with men or mimicking masculine energy but by embracing and nurturing the inherent qualities of femininity. She teaches women to be assertive and determined while also staying connected to their nurturing, intuitive, and soft feminine energy. This balance is crucial, as she explains that society often forces women into two extreme spectrums: either adopting a rigid, masculine energy to be taken seriously or fearing their feminine power and thus avoiding it.
In her practice, Petra helps women find a middle ground, where they can be both powerful and authentically feminine. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining boundaries and staying true to oneself. Her advice to women is to never play small, always embrace their feminine power, and remain true to their authentic selves. She encourages women to celebrate their femininity and the unique energy they bring into the world.
Petra also highlights the significance of nurturing different feminine archetypes, such as the "girly girl" and the "lover." She believes that reconnecting with the playful, innocent girl within and embracing one's sensual, sexual energy are essential for a fulfilling life. Ignoring these aspects can lead to bitterness, so Petra advocates for a balanced and holistic approach to feminine empowerment.

My fascination with psychology and hypnotherapy began in my childhood. At the age of 12 I purchased my first textbook on hypnosis and I became curious about the depths of human psyche. I would even gather my friends after school and practice on them various hypnotic techniques I’ve learned from the books- very unconventional entertainment for a teenager! We were mostly fascinated by the past life hypnosis at that time, and we found it hilarious to observe the images and stories that would come up in our mind under the hypnotic trance.
Later in life, I took my passion to learn more about human brain more seriously, and I completed psychology degrees, including early childhood development in the UK. In 2012, I was offered a scholarship for a PhD. in psychology in Melbourne, and that’s when my Australian journey began.
During my studies I delved into research projects exploring childhood traumas, personality development, mental health and resilience. I also had the privilege of teaching related subjects across Melbourne’s well-known universities, and I also supervised research projects for many psychology students.
Despite my scientific background, I remained a strong interest in alternative therapies, finding them more aligned with my personal beliefs. After completing my doctorate, I finally decided to pursue my childhood hobby and I obtained ‘Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Applied Psychotherapy’ and I started my own hypnotherapy practice.
Apart from my academic education, I’ve participated in numerous courses, therapies, and seminars across Europe that sparked my interest in alternative psychology treatments, spirituality, and feminine healing through the Divine Feminine energy.
I am a lifelong learner, and as a member of professional associations, I continuously upgrade my skills and knowledge through professional development and alternative healing modalities.
