10 Points - Ongoing Professional Development Points

EMDR Certification - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. EMDR has progressed over the years to now also focus on the trauma while using eye movements or by tapping on the self either using crossed arms to tap on opposite shoulder or by tapping on your thighs as you think about the past trauma experience. Students must all be qualified therapists in counselling, hypnotherapy, or RTT. At the end of the training and assessments, the student will graduate to practice EMDR therapy.
